Serpentine Replacement Element (SRE)
Field-replaceable Upgrades for Air Heaters
TUTCO SureHeat SRE (Serpentine Replacement Elements) were designed to upgrade European field-replaceable element cartridges found in several popular process heating products. SRE products are advanced process heating cartridges that combine high-watt density Serpentine™ Technology. Six individual Serpentine heating elements are combined to form each SRE assembly.
Unlike other heating element solutions, Serpentine™ Technology supports the heating wire the entire length of the coil. Supporting the entire length eliminates many of the stresses placed on the wire during the heating and cooling process. Supporting the element wire is critical for processes that index the heater. Unsupported heating element coils are also very vulnerable to premature failures in horizontal mounting positions. SRE products can be mounted vertically or horizontally and are built for demanding processes. Additionally, the design creates a higher air-to-wire surface contact. The increased contact improves high-temperature capabilities and offers faster ramp-up time. The SRE build construction is built for industrial processes and very heavy duty. Stainless steel housings, high-quality connectors, and machined ceramics all contribute to the SRE’s design durability.
